This resonates with me on so many levels. I have found myself quick to cry. Especially in meditation but often randomly. My teacher reminded me that this means I am connected to and in alignment with Source, with the Universe. That helped me see tears as a gift vs. a nuisance. ✨🙏🏼 thank you for sharing
Heraclitus was known as "the weeping philosopher" (in contrast to "the laughing pholosopher" Democritus) and of all those old Greek guys Mr. Weepy seems like the one most compatible with Taoiness, what with his unistep river and two-way stairs. So maybe your windows of the soul are expressing the profound wisdom of both East and West. But it's probably just the dry air and overworked drainage ducts.
p.s. if I am remembering the right guy, may your end never, never, never be like his, no matter what your proclivities for natural remedies.
I loved how you connected Tao with tears or lack thereof! Great read- from a personal experience I too found my eyes watering more than usual and after I went to an optometrist who wanted to prescribe an expensive oral remedy with all sorts of side effects, I got a second opinion from an ophthalmologist who had me buy some no more tears baby shampoo and gently wash my eyes each day with terry cloth and it. Turns out excessive watering is due to eyes being too dry and this simple solution that cleared some blocked tear ducts was the simplest solution- kinda Tao too! 🥰🤣😊🙏🏼
Anna, Thanks for providing that link about the baby shampoo- it was eye opening! I have not given much thought to that product’s level of safe use, wrongly assuming it would be harmless since for babies. It has been decades since I had a young one and it sounds like it was not a completely safe product back in the day. I think the eye doc prescribed it simply b/c it allowed me to “scrub” the tear ducts with the least amount of soap burning discomfort. But after reading about its allergens and fragrance I would go with another one of the baby shampoo’s. Really helpful site- thank you for sharing!

Thanks for sharing this. Makes sense as I live in Colorado where it is excessively dry.
You should try it! Nothing to lose here 🥰
I guess it rates okay as far as toxins are concerned. https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/products/1051685-Johnsons_Baby_Shampoo_with_Gentle_TearFree_Formula/
Wasn’t always the case. Good to know Johnson and Johnson cleaned up their act.
