What a reassuring hexagram. When there's too much group energy around a project, I tend to move away from all the noise, and maybe make a small comment at a later date. And then I feel guilty for not pulling my weight.
“guilt is a gateway to manipulation. Whether imposed by others or self-inflicted, guilt can make us pliable, willing to abandon our boundaries to satisfy external expectations.”
I too have taken a break these last few weeks to reevaluate my path. One thing I’ve realized is how many problems I have holding strong boundaries, and how I allow people to guilt me into removing my boundaries. That’s a big thing I want to work on in 2025 and the rest of this year.
It seems like boundary breakers are determined to manipulate us in mass these days. We must then double down on our present moment awareness in order avoid falling for the bait.
I loved this. I always saw this as going to the arms of the divine. That higher, deeper more expansive place. The one where we rest, go within and can see more from a higher, different perspective. That connected place. Safety
I like this one. Thank you. If guilt, blame, and fear are our buttons which are so easily pushed by the world, then it seems Hexagram 33 is like disconnecting the wires from behind them - at least for a while. This way, when the buttons get pushed, nothing happens. After some time out, when we reconnect the wires, I think the trick is to connect the buttons not to reactions - but rather to connect them to a pause followed by a response. Easy to say, I know, but worth trying to do.
Still loving this so much! Our stillness is our power, our very own that we need in a world determined to take every bit of power away from us. The Tao shows us the Way. Ever in appreciation of your gifts, DM.
"Retreat, I realized, is not an escape from the world but a realignment with the true nature of things. It is stepping out of the storm and finding refuge in the invisible forces that guide and sustain us."
The "world" is outside of ourselves and I am finding it best to keep it there. We can observe it and try to understand it better, but we may never fully understand it or any "truth" from it.
So I live within my world and am at peace doing so.

Diana, I actually like that approach and often do the same.

I’m trying to figure out how to be stronger in my boundaries.

Hey Francis. So great to hear from you. Let’s reconnect.

Hey Oma. Glad to hear. Doubling down on your thought about stillness. 🙏

Since moving to Jamaica, I have come to view my life, my new way of being, as a retreat. Thank you for this piece 🙏🩵✨
