Hi Diana. I appreciate you reaching out to connect. And thanks for the feedback. Always happy to respond to specific questions you may have. In the meantime wishing you an awesome 2025.
I love your humor: " I’m basically a Taoist intern, fumbling my way through a philosophy that predates kombucha by a few millennia." BTW, is "Diamond" your first name?
It's good to read that The Tao and all it entails can baffle someone else. I've made so many changes in my life after getting into Tai Chi, Qi Gong and attempting to under Lau Tzu's beautiful words. Life changing every day.
I love The Tao of Pooh! Read it decades ago and rediscovered it another decade ago, along with The Te of Piglet. A delightful study of human nature (and buddha nature?) After lifelong spiritual seeking, the Tao seems to make sense to me in its complex simplicity. Go figure ;-)
"Some days, the flow carries you. Other days, you’re the boulder in the stream saying, “Not today, chaos.” Thanks for that. Just trying to flow through this life with equanimity and compassion. 💙
As I was rambling in my journal this morning I wrote about you. After I move on from my journal, I typically start my day with Clara Parkes and you. I am a solitary, very introverted person, mostly happy about it but also aware it isn't my whole truth and can be isolating. One of my intentions for this year is to expand my connections and thought I would start by participating in some online knitting communities. Even that is more than a bit scary. Today I wrote about being continually inspired by you and Clara but far too intimidated by my perception of your enlightenment to really consider more than an occasional minor comment. Then today's post arrived in my mailbox. You are in fact more enlightened than me in some areas but your message reminds me that you are putting in the daily work to get there, something I am capable of doing. More importantly for me right now is the recognition that you are brave enough to do it publicly. The occasional Zoom chat with fellow knitters is a good step for me but I hope to do more. Thanks for sharing your experiences with honesty and humor and helping me feel less intimidated and a tiny bit more brave. Not to mention having company on my own path. I'll be cheering you along yours. Judy
Thanks for sharing your journey with us, Diamond-Michael.
I've learned quite a bit about Taoism through you, and intend to read some of the books you've reviewed.
Take care, and happy 2025.

Thank you. I enjoyed that. You are a great writer with a darn good message.
Thank you Lee. I appreciate you reaching out.
