Living in the United States today must feel like living in constant conflict, especially for one who is trying to be authentic and stand up for the truth.

This is a good one Diamond! Most importantly, “anchor yourself in the Tao. Flow with its wisdom but do not mistake flowing for acquiescence.”🙏🏽

"True change isn't in casting ballots but in...protests, organizing, or...embodying justice in our daily lives."

And what I hear is something like, 'Don't forget to salt your biscuit dough.'--good advice, certainly (saltless biscuits: pretty bland, though not worthless even then), but biscuits by themselves make for a meager dinner. If I protest, I'm a teaspoonful, or less, of flour; if I organize I might be like the baking soda, but I depend on mixing, liquid, heat, and powdered plants which may not appear in proportions proper to the recipe (and suppose the recipe is bad?); if I embody justice by myself, I save my soul but perhaps my ripples will not resonate. Is there some other way within the Way?

Today is like yesterday and tomorrow. My heroes are Black. Always have been. My position in relationship with the buddhadhamma and Taoist principles I was raised with. Liberation and Balance. Justice and Courage. Truth and Freedom.
