Miami Dolphin fans are Perpetually Disappointed, in large part because a group of men in similar uniforms managed not to lose a game for an entire season. Over 50 years ago.
If there were an app for FanTao as there is for FanDuel, the app would rake in millions, I think, from unbalanced fans (just as FanDuel does, come to think of it). Thanks!
As a former football fanatic, this was a reminder of all the wasted energy I spent bon something I had no control over. It also caught my attention that I don't have control of much of anything--and nothing that matters to anyone else. If I want to share anything with anyone, I can only put it out there. What it will mean to that person is not under my control. Should I care what he or she does with it? Well, that depends on whether I care about that person. I still have no control over that person. The only thing that I might be in control of is my reaction to how it is taken. Resignation? Acceptance? Disappointment? Decide to never share with that person again? Possible responses are endless. My preferable response would be to continue caring, but accept their response. Whether I am able to do that, I don't know. I can only determine to try, and to try to learn how.
Wait. Who was that pathetic loser of a friend who can't control his emotional state when watching sports? What a freakin' loser. Meanwhile, I'm feeling much better now, both because your post contained the usual amount of wisdom, and also because the Nuggets throttled the Thunder in OT last night. Has "your close friend" learned his lesson yet? Doubtful.
Okay, yeah. I get it. But you still rage when you’re inside the five yard line, about to win your second consecutive Super Bowl by simply handing the ball off to Beast Mode but instead you throw a pass to a second tier receiver running a route over the middle only to have it intercepted…and game over.
“It wasn’t the worst call in football history. It may have been the worst outcome to a call.” ~ Pete Carroll (on why he will never win another Super Bowl. And here I love Coach Carroll).
So I will admit I will always root for Coach Carroll. He is such a force for positivity, growth, and human development. The Raiders will be fun to watch this year—but gosh coach, HAND THE BALL OFF TO BEAST MODE, WOULD YA???
We’ve all seen families, friends and even strangers in raging opposition over sports. Why are humans so readily divided to pit themselves against one another, sometimes irretrievably, brutally and violently because of the color of said polyester jersey. It seems that sports, politics, religion and flags are amongst the many devices to divide. Thank you for this, if something doesn’t serve the soul it definitely doesn’t serve humanity

🙌 Yup, go Nuggets!

I gotta get me a copy of the Bhagavad Gita.
Pete Carroll is a favorite of mine as well. He and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly should be a winning combo.

Proof there is wisdom to be gleaned from every aspect of life. Very timely given the Maple Leafs fiasco last night 🤦♀️
I loved this. I plan to share your post with my Comparative Religion class.
Share away. Much appreciated.
How did you create the Tao image at the beginning? Did you use a specific AI technology? I like it!
Yes, I used the Photoroom app with a very specific prompt outlining what I wanted conveyed in the image.
