I love this so much and can relate. I often say that I'm a work in progress. And I'm so happy you know who you are and that you're sharing all the parts of you here on Substack. It's a win/win.
Really enjoyed this read and it is very timely for me as I work on my first Substack intro post. Many Quotable lines I will need to remember to credit you with, thank you for your wisdom and living your life 👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽
One of the keys is being authentic & open to what makes you happy:) Ohmm...I'm trying, tho haven't yet tapped into that natural energy that ignites you. Thanks for taking us along on your journey
These thoughts occurred to me as I read your essay:
"Taoism teaches us to be like water, adaptable and uncontained. That’s my expansion ethos: I’m not trying to fit into anyone’s cup. I’m the whole damn river." Living between the Snake River (dammed) and the Salmon River (undammed), I want to be the whole *undamn* river ;-)
"Here’s the best part of all this soul-searching: I finally know who I am, and it feels amazing." Here's what popped into my head, and I hope you won't think it is condescending: "Well done, Grasshopper." (Quoting a certain wise sage if you're of a certain age ;-)

Hey Paulette. Yes indeed. Let’s keep it moving.
We should ask ourselves daily who we are?

In friendship, Joni
It’s so cool to get to know you through your posts. I’m curious what your Myers Briggs type is? If you care to share!
