There's a wealth of wisdom here. I appreciate how you emphasize that being mindful of our feelings and what our bodies tell us, day by day and even hour by hour, helps us understand what we can take in and consume.
Lately I'm noticing that I have less attention for online stuff, and am appreciating that. Spending time in the garden, doing more other things, chatting with friends are all so much more nourishing.
I'll stay on Substack and continue reading and writing, but it's getting less of my attention.
Yet again you’ve hit the nail on my head, D-M. And to your point about overfilling my brain-pan, I also feel GUILTY when I don’t react to every last alarm and threat, out of my (fictional, pointless) duty to save humanity. As if I could do that by responding to yet another alarm bell ringing in Washington! Yes my friend: better attention, not more.
I'm taking a news break today. Yesterday left me feeling deeply angry, powerless, and troubled about the future. I can't stay in that place for long periods. I have to refocus on where I still can make the world better.

Yes. I was just underscoring that very thing in a Qigong mindfulness workshop I conducted this morning. Thank you for chiming in.
Thanks for mentioning cycles, Diamond-Michael.

I am definitely trying to slow down my news consumption, but am wondering where you go for reliable sources/news, when you do?
Crazy enough, Reddit has been a great source of news and commentary. I also find the BBC to be very reputable.
Wow, never thought of Reddit! Thanks for the reminder about BBC. 🙌🤗

🙏 Met your wife today at my Qigong meditation session. What a lovely person.
I agree! So fun that your paths crossed. At Foothills of all places!
🙌
Just fyi, we sprayed our pillows with Lavender oil last night. It was like sleeping in France!
Thanks so much … an interesting and intelligent read … will read it again …when I see a good post I reread it and sometimes recommend it to others…

Thank you for this post. You’re one of my “keepers” in my information house cleaning!
