Absolutely brilliant piece! This is something I think about a lot and is one of the reasons I stopped pursuing a career in music. ✨

Thank you! And very interesting to hear this about your musical career. Can you share more?

Well I discovered that there is a lot of darkness in the music industry. I had been pretty naive about it. I declined an opportunity that didn’t align with my values and the more awake I become the more I see through the agenda that the music industry is pushing. It’s not something I want to be a part of. Being independent is the way to go ✨

Love this piece, as always. Balance implies the Binary that is all around us - Not to be confused with "dual" which is different. As children we learn about balance from our playground experiences. We ourselves are bilaterally symmetrical. As we age, balance becomes a challenge to keep ourselves upright and moving forward with confidence. Balance is implied in most things.

Thank you for the read. Ziran, is a new word for me, thank you for introducing me to it. I find it to be similar to Zazen in spirit. Is there a sort of meditation/Zazen that embodies “the natural, effortless state of being true to oneself?” Is this Tai Chi practice? I really like this Ziran and its similarity to Zazen—my new Zazen detention, “the self doing itself by itself” by Roshi Kosh Uchiyama.

Hi Miguel. There is definitely an intersection between Zazen and Ziran. How about I explore this in an upcoming Chocolate Taoist article.

Aha! So, if I were one of Mephistopheles' minions (which I am not, but wouldn't such a sycophant say that?) then the bargain YOU would be offered would be (almost) easy contentment and true enlightenment, your struggles at an end, so long as you direct disciples down the Devil's detour. You have probably worried about that yourself. That is not a reason to stop showing the way, so long as you show the alternative burdens we have to weigh.

Yes. Not necessarily worried about it but ponder this from time to time.

Many people do not seem to have the awareness.. much of the soul- compromising has become acceptable, normal or corporate "practice"... plus the desensitizing .. very little is taught on ethics, morals and the consequences of breaking these natural or spiritual laws.

This used to be taught at home but when we started to give our kids to day care much was lost. Methinks...

Running with the Devil

Depends on the mood

Who the hell is the devil anyway?

The religion I was raised in taught the he was Jesus’ older brilliant brother.

So if that is true then we are all related if we are the children of God.

What say you?

I am no longer affiliated with any religion but the early teachings are always imprinted on our brains. Sadly.🙃
