Thanks for the reminder. The Serenity Prayer comes to mind. Accepting what I can’t change, finding courage to change what I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Thank you for this. I try to live this way, be with what is. AND I am incredibly grateful for reminders like this one and for people, like you, who also seek to live this way.
So true about presence being a most helpful tool at this and any challenging, uncertain time. I love the analogy of “bending like bamboo in the storm!” No matter the election results, the potential actions that might be taken as a result are scary, so this wisdom and reminder for presence is crucial. Thank you, Diamond Michael!
Taking life as it comes is the easiest way to live but the most difficult to teach. As you so brilliantly explained, "the more we struggle against uncertainty, the more tangled we become in our own anxieties." Thank you!
Lovely, DM. And yeah, I think Tiran left the western whiteboy building some time ago...actually, pretty sure it never came over on the boats with them. :(

Hey Alyssa. Great to hear from you. Yes, that’s the way!

This is such great advice. Accepting what is and what we cannot control. Very helpful
Thanks. Yes, relinquishing what you can’t control is a major tenet of Stoicism. I am immersing myself more and more in this philosophy.
